I am not rotten. Pure sulfur has no smell. However some of my compounds have a "rotten" smell. Rotten eggs get their smell from H2S.

Hey, sulfur~ We used to react and form Thallium Sulfate with oxygen.
Guess what we were used for? We were used to be ant and rodent poison!
Although, our use was banned since 1974.
